Today’s spot is Katharine Carpenter, BBC London newsreader.
I have previously spotted another local newsreader, and you may wonder why I am so familiar with them. It is because every morning Mr Beet and I play a game when they cut to local news, where we have to say the name of the newsreader, before they say “Hello, I’m so-and-so”. So if you are ever around our place between 7.30 and 8 on weekdays mornings, don’t be surprised if Mr Beet and I suddenly shout out “Alice Bhandhukravi!!” in unison.
Fortunately, I was just about able to suppress the urge to shout “Katharine Carpenter!!” in her face when I saw her this morning.
