London Marathon

Mr Beet was dead jealous of all the London marathoners – he’s got the bug since last week’s Brighton marathon.  But today we were supporting rather than running.  We handed out jelly babies and shouted ourselves hoarse at mile 11.

Run to the Beat

Mr Beet and I were cheering along the runners at the Run to the Beat half marathon at Greenwich Park at the weekend, as we knew a few people running.  Lots of people have their names on their tops so you can cheer them on specifically.  Although I get practice in this role most weeks at parkrun, I’m still pretty unimaginative and tend to just shout:

Well done X“, “Looking good Y” or ”Good effort Z“.

Unfortunately, I chose “Looking good Suzie” for one runner, at which point she promptly threw up.

Anyway, well done to parkrunners John, Rob, Paul and Linda, TKDers Mat and Esi and workmate Michelle who all completed the course.
