30 Things – Climb a Munro

Mr Beet and I spent the long weekend in Scotland so that I could bag a munro, which is on my list of things to do.

We had a day in Edinburgh and did a tour of the castle, then we headed over to Loch Doine, where we were staying in the Lovestruck, which is a converted horsebox.  If you’ve heard of “glamping”, then this was “glamavanning”.  It was cute and cosy.

And the views were absolutely gorgeous.

We even had a visit from a local.

The weather was very unScottish so off we trooped up Ben Vorlich, which is meant to be one of the easiest munros but was pretty taxing especially as the further up we got, the wind got so strong that we were in danger of being blown clear off.

How long did it take? Would I have made it? I note that you opted to take a well respected marathon runner, so I don’t fancy my chances!!
